SGM (Ret.) George Gates Dapice, 77, of Lakeview, Ohio, passed away peacefully Dec. 15, 2023.

He was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Benjamin and Mary E. Dapice.

He dedicated 26 years of his life to the United States Army. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jason Gates Dapice.

Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Dapice; daughter Rae M. Dapice Blanton and spouse Kenny of California; brother Benjamin Dapice and spouse Linda of Russells Point, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.

George is going to be deeply missed, will be forever in our hearts and always loved.

A celebration of life memorial will be conducted at a later time.
