A gas line has reportedly been struck in Bellefontaine and Dakota Road is currently closed from Allison Road to the end of Dakota, according to an alert sent out shortly before 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12.
Due to the risk of fire and/explosion, residents are asked to avoid the area until further notice, Bellefontaine Fire and EMS reports.
