Gail Foreman Nelson died peacefully on January 22, 2024, at her home in Scottsdale, Arizona, surrounded by her husband, John, daughter, Dionne, and her faithful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Born January 28, 1947, to William and Evelyn Cox Foreman, Gail graduated from Riverside High School in 1965.

She attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. She married John Ernest Nelson, formerly of Bellefontaine, on October 4, 1969, at the Quincy United Methodist Church. While the family was living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she attended Grand Valley State College and earned her bachelor’s degree in education and linguistics.

Gail lived in various states and cities throughout the Midwest while raising Dionne. She joined Dunn and Bradstreet following graduation, where she became the first woman in their credit program and the first new hire to earn a commission in the first quarter. She was also

employed by Kroger stores as a credit manager in Bloomington, IN, and at Pella Windows as an accounting manager for many years while they lived in Bolingbrook, IL, before retiring to Scottsdale in 2011.

In addition to her husband and daughter, Gail is also survived by sisters, Jill (Jerry) Hultin, Dublin, Ohio; Chris ( Robert) Turner, Omaha, Nebraska; and Luan ( Doug) Lamb Bellefontaine, Ohio. She is also survived by 4 nieces, 4 nephews, and their families.
