Don’t put those winter clothes away just yet as unseasonably cold temperatures are forecast for the wee hours of Saturday, April 12.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Freeze Warning for Logan County and most of western Ohio starting at midnight Friday and extending through 9 a.m. Saturday.

Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 28 degrees overnight. The temperature is forecast to rise to 52 degrees during the daylight hours Saturday and drop back into the 30s Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

The NWS warns that tender plants and outdoor above-ground water lines could be effected by the freeze and asks residents to take appropriate precautions.
