An out-of-state motorist was cited for causing a crash just before 8 p.m., Saturday, July 20, at the intersection of Township Road 293 at State Route 235 in Stokes Township.
John Basinger, 76, of Florida, was approaching the intersection at S.R. 235 from T.R. 293 when he failed to properly yield at the stop sign and pulled left into the path of a vehicle operated by Austin Johnston, 30, of Lakeview.
Basinger, and a passenger, Constance Basinger, 74, also of Florida, were transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for possible minor injuries.
Functional damage was reported to both vehicles, and they were towed from the scene. Basinger was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
