Five local girls earn 1st-team all-CBC volleyball honors

Raiders’ Stahler tabbed Mad River player of year

Logan’s Mia Stahler, who was named the Mad River division play of the year, there were five area players earning first-team all-Central Buckeye Conference volleyball honors this fall.

Stahler was joined on the Mad River division first team by teammate Makayla Williamson.

Also on the MR first team were Indian Lake’s Kenzie Dixon and Halle Roby.

Receiving all-CBC second-team honors for the Mad River division were Ben Logan’s Autumn Cline and Skylar Miracle and Indian Lake’s Riley Ross.

Special mention awards went to Ben Logan’s Abby Vance and Indian Lake’s Cami Bailey. On the Kenton Trail division side, Bellefontaine’s Kelsie Snapp was named to the first team.

The Chiefs were represented on the Kenton Trail division second team by Taylor Banta and Madi Zedeker, while Ava Reeves was an honorable mention selection.

Receiving the CBC sportsmanship award were Ben Logan’s Addie Huffman, Indian Lake’s Courtney Altstaetter and Bellefontaine’s Ava Campbell.

Along with the Raiders’ Stahler and Williamson and the Lakers’ Dixon and Roby, the Mad River division first team included Shawnee’s Grace Adams and North Union’s Kennedy Harrah and Katie Zimmerman.

The rest of the Mad River second-team selections were North Union’s Audrey Baldwin, Northwestern’s Ava Berner and Taylor Scott, Shawnee’s Kaytee Garberich and Northwestern’s Taylor Scott.

Rounding the out the Mad River special mention list were Shawnee’s Lilly Adams, Graham’s Annika Kohler, North Union’s Emma McElroy and Northwestern’s Kailyn Scott.

The Kenton Trail division was led by player of the year Annie Fincham of Kenton Ridge.

Along with the Cougars’ Fincham and Bellefontaine’s Snapp, the Kenton Trail first team included Jonathan Alder’s Ali Hayes, Kenton Ridge’s Annie Shaffer and Devin Williams and London’s Ashley Sims and Sam Webb.

Filling out the Kenton Trail division second team Kenton Ridge’s Cali Arthur, London’s Jayda Calloway, Jonathan Alder’s Addison Schumacher and Kylie Trout and London’s Gwyn Wieber.

The remaining KT special mention selections were Kenton Ridge’s JJ Davis, Jonathan Alder’s Addison Harman, Tecumseh’s Bailee Glenn, Urbana’s Jazmyn Scott and London’s Addison Thomas.
