Personnel from Bellefontaine and Huntsville fire departments, along with the Indian Lake EMS Joint Ambulance District practice cold water rescues Saturday, Feb. 18, at Indian Lake. “Our department has several personnel trained in many different water rescue (and) ice rescue disciplines and we continue to strive to maintain those skills,” Indian Lake EMS staff reported. Training included craft operations, rope throw bags and the effects and treatment of hypothermia. The most recent cold-water rescue at Indian Lake occurred in February 2021.
