First animal babies born at ILHS barn

It’s a manger scene in the Indian Lake High School/Ohio Hi-Point FFA barn this Christmas season. Indian Lake High School senior Annie Braig is pictured with her pygmy goat “Chippy,” who gave birth this week to twins “Sir Rudy” and “Sir Comet.” Annie bred Chippy with fellow FFA member Courtney Altstaetter’s buck, “Sir Christmas Noel,” a few months back. They are one big happy holiday family. Sir Rudy and Sir Comet are the first live babies born in the ILHS/OHP FFA barn, which was specially constructed to provide agriculture space for students who do not live on a farm. Annie plans to raise the kids in the barn on campus and show them at the Logan County Fair next summer. (Indian Lake Schools Photo)
