Erroll B. Broud, 84, of Wapakoneta (formerly Sidney), died peacefully at home on May 30, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1938 in Oberlin to Allen R. and Alice M. (Hill) Broud. A graduate of Monroeville High School, Monroeville, Erroll was a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from the American College. He was preceded in death by his wives, Doris J. (Compton) Broud and Anitha C. (Scheepsma) Broud. On November 8, 2010, he married Sharon K. Maxwell, who loved and cherished him until his death.
He is survived by his children, Pam Broud Woods, of Bellefontaine, Dahnna (Mike Creighton) Broud Beach, of Sardinia, Fred Broud, of Sidney, Allen (Rhonda) Broud, of Marysville; stepchildren, Teresa Doseck, of Wapakoneta, Jim (Becky) Howard, of Troy, Kim Howard, of Sarasota, FL, Danielle (Eric) Sielschott, of Anna, Michele (Rex) Pack, of Wapakoneta, Jill Spitler, of Kettering, Mike Lanning, of Cheney, WA, and Angi (Mike) Johnson, of Wapakoneta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Milkie, of WI and Fairy Cook, of WA; and brother, Charles Wilken, of Bellevue.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Genevieve Anderson.
Erroll was a financial advisor for 37 years and became a Limited Partner with Edward Jones. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving at the Nike Missile Base in Parma. Erroll was Past President of the Sidney Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Sidney Rotary Club. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed leagues at the Sidney Moose Country Club and Shelby Oaks. Erroll found great joy at beating his sons at golf and was fortunate to hit 2 holes in one. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.
Friends may gather from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at JJ’s Catalina Event Center, located at 15115 S.R. 67 in Wapakoneta. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or your favorite charity. The family has entrusted Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta to handle the arrangements.
