Erika Hardesty, 80, of Lakeview, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2025. She was born on July 6, 1945 in Germany to Luise Sester. Erika was a beautiful artist who lived a life grounded in faith, love and devotion.
She was the beloved wife and best friend to Timothy Hardesty for 59 ½ years. She was a devoted mother to Diana (Todd) Owen, Christina Edwards, and Chandra (Mike) Kerns.
She was the most awesome grandmother to Tim (Ava) Owen, TJ (Ashley) Owen, Mikey (Tisha) Owen, Amanda (Joe) Williams, Thom (Andrea) Edwards, Cheyenne (Derek) Beuschlein, Daniel Kerns (Genna), Hannah (Devin) Butler, Jaiden Kerns, Caleb Kerns (Hally), and Madisyn Pitts. She was a loving great-grandmother to Emerson Owen, Eleanor Owen, Jocelyn, Paxton, and Maelyn Beuschlein, Chloe and Maci Edwards, Nova Horn, Willow Hoffer, Karson (Ziggy), Sylas, and Violet Butler.
We rejoice in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of Christ. Her favorite bible verse was Proverbs 3:5-6. It reads, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
A celebration of life for Erika’s heavenly homecoming will be Saturday, December 20, at 2 p.m. at the Redemption Bible Church located at 169 County Highway 32 North, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. The family welcomes your prayers and invites all who knew Erika to celebrate her life and faith.
