Elmer L. Patterson, 79, of Indian Lake, OH passed away Friday, August 30, 2024, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, OH.
Elmer was born on March 25, 1945, in Findlay, OH, a son of the late Russell Patterson, and Imogene Preston Kieffer. He is also preceded in death by his stepfather, Arrel Kieffer, brother, Robert Patterson, sister, Jacqueline Morrison, and a granddaughter, Sally Patterson.
Elmer married Roberta Huecker on March 21, 1970, in Sidney, OH, and she survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Paula Patterson, and Natalie (Chris) Legge, two sons, Paul Patterson and James Patterson, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a brother, Tony Kieffer, and several nieces and nephews.
Elmer was a 1963 graduate of Roundhead High School. He retired from Stolle Company in Sidney after working for 30 years. Elmer was a member of Bellefontaine Moose Lodge #2563, Indian Lake Moose Lodge # 1533, Bellefontaine FOE Aeries #2166, and Indian Lake FOE Aeries #3615. Elmer enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, but most of all, he enjoyed fishing.
A remembrance service for Elmer will begin at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview, with visiting from 1-2 pm. A celebration of Elmer’s life will continue after services at his home.
