Elba Jean Post, 86, of Bellefontaine passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at her residence. She was born August 13, 1939, in Harrod, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Mary (Nichols) Wells.
Elba was a lifelong laborer working at DAB, Westinghouse and retired from Honda of America. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events, puzzles, shopping, visiting casinos and tending to her lilies.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 yrs Allan Post, and their five children, Karen (Mike) Schwaderer, Jim ( Mary) Post, Chuck (Jill) Post, Mary (Donnie) Quesenberry, Susan( Bret) Stahler, as well as, 11 grandchildren: Ben Schwaderer, Jason Schwaderer, Abby Sullivan, Matt Post, Mackenzy Post, Ashley Post, Summer Quesenberry, Madison Quesenberry, Lillian Quesenberry, Malia Quesenberry, Kevin Stahler and many great grandkids and a great-great grandson. Elba is also survived by a brother Russell (Butch) Wells and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by 2 sons-in-law Mike Schwaderer, and Bret Stahler, siblings, Joyce Jenkins, Ronald Wells, Harvey Wells, James Dale Wells, Sharon Ropp, Connie Kinnear.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory, 5591 S. U.S. Highway 68, West Liberty, Ohio 43357. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
