EGG-citing Easter fun

Quest Community Church (QCC) near West Liberty hosted their annual EGGstravaganza event on Saturday, April 1, and, once again, welcomed hundreds of children, along with their family and friends, to visit 24 “EGG-citing” stations. From cookie decorating to a petting zoo and everything in between, the kids had plenty of opportunity for Easter-related fun … including a chance to hear the Gospel message. “We usually have over 500 people from all over during the three hours,” QCC Pastor Jessica Dolan said. “Only about a quarter of those who attend are from our church.” (EXAMINER PHOTO | SHARYN KOPF)

Quest Community Church volunteer Jonna LeVan, left, asks cookie decorators Addy Russell, 7, and her brother, Carter, if they want a baggie to take their cookies home in. They did not. Part of Quest’s annual EGGstravaganza, the cookie decorating was only one of 24 stations spread throughout the inside of the church, with a few exceptions. This is because, according to Pastor Jessica Dolan, they never have good weather. As a result, they traded out the bounce house for a petting zoo. (EXAMINER PHOTO | SHARYN KOPF)
