A defendant charged with drug crimes in multiple states was arrested again Monday, Sept. 9, while out on bond.

Audric Clay, 37, at-large, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for trafficking in a controlled substance out of Kentucky.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., detectives from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, working with the Bellefontaine Police Department’s criminal patrol unit and BPD K9 unit, spotted Clay walking eastbound on East Sandusky Avenue near North Park Street.

Clay, who was already out on bond for a separate drug trafficking charge in Logan County, was arrested without incident. During the arrest, officers recovered $772 in cash and a cell phone, both of which were seized.

Clay was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he is being held on the out-of-state felony warrant.
