Driver treated at scene of C.R. 12 crash

Samantha K. Rose, 40, of Zanesfield, was treated by Perry Township EMS personnel at the scene of a crash about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, but was not transported from the scene.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a southbound 2004 Toyota RAV4 on County Road 12 near County Road 8 during snowy conditions. She attempted to slow down and lost control, driving off the left side of the road and striking a utility pole.

Damage was heavy to the sport utility vehicle, which was towed from the scene. Rose was cited for failure to control and was wearing her seat belt.

• Corbin E. Green, 19, of Waynesfield, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash early Wednesday morning, March 15.
Deputies report he was operating a westbound 2003 Honda Civic about 1:40 a.m. on U.S. Route 33 near Township Road 221, where U.S. 33 changes from four lanes to two lanes.
Green reportedly was operating in the left westbound lane and another vehicle was in the right lane. He advised the other vehicle did not appear to be yielding, so he braked and then lost control, striking the flashing yellow light pole.
Damage was moderate to the car, which was towed from the scene. The Ohio Department of Transportation was contacted regarding the light pole that was damaged.

• Patricia K. Steffey, 79, of Russells Point, was cited for right of way when turning left relating to a non-injury crash about 8:05 a.m. Monday, March 13.
Deputies report she was operating a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Equinox On County Road 32 and attempted to make a left turn onto State Route 47. She reportedly turned into the path of a northbound 2018 Hyundai Elantra operated by Randy K. Randles, 55, of Springfield, striking the front of his vehicle.
After the crash, the Randles vehicle came to a rest on the northwest side of the intersection and the Stuffy vehicle came to a rest on the southeast part of the intersection.
Damage was light to both vehicles and the drivers were wearing their seat belts.
