Austin B. Randall, 27, of Urbana, was transported by Perry Township squad to Memorial Hospital in Marysville for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday, April 18.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Derrick L. Conkel, 34, of Kenton, was operating an eastbound 2010 Volkswagen Jetta about 6:20 a.m. on State Route 347 near County Road 154.
His vehicle reportedly struck the rear of an eastbound 2007 BMW 355 operated by Randall that was stopped in traffic.
The impact caused Randall’s vehicle to strike the rear of an eastbound 2020 Honda CR-V operated by Seigo Arceno, 31, of Springfield.
No other injuries were reported. Conkel was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Damage was moderate to the Jetta and the BMW 355, and light to the CR-V.
Each of the drivers were wearing their seat belts.
