One man was hospitalized with suspected serious injuries following a two-vehicle, head-on collision Wednesday, Nov. 6, along State Route 47 near County Road 31 in Harrison Township that was reportedly caused after one of the drivers fell asleep at the while driving.

Evans was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be freed by mechanical means.
Sheriff reportedly fell asleep while driving, which caused him to lose control, travel off the right side of the road, overcorrect into the eastbound lane and into the path of the Civic Evans was driving.
