Domestic violence charges filed

Zachary W. Snyder, 29, of 400 Lincoln Blvd, unit 55, Russells Point, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Sunday, Oct. 29.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to his residence about noon in reference to a domestic dispute.

When deputies arrived, they spoke with Snyder and his live-in girlfriend separately. Snyder told deputies that the pair had been in an argument and that he lost his temper when she wouldn’t give his phone back to him. He said he then destroyed a small TV and slammed a video game controller on a coffee table, destroying it as well.

Snyder’s girlfriend also said the pair had been arguing and that when Snyder threw the video game controller, some of the debris went flying and struck her 9-year-old child. Deputies said the child’s face was visibly red.

She said he then followed her upstairs and pinned her on the bed and began screaming at her. He also allegedly broke a fan and TV in the bedroom and knocked over a table.
Snyder was placed under arrest and was transported to the Logan County Jail. A copy of the report also was forwarded to Logan County Children’s Services.

• William C. Rose, 27, of 520 Township Road 184, Bellefontaine, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to the Homecoming Family Restaurant, 1330 U.S. Route 68, Bellefontaine, to speak with Rose’s girlfriend. She stated she left the T.R. 184 home with their 7-month-old son after an argument with Rose.

However, to try to prevent her from leaving, she stated that Rose took their son out of the vehicle and also took her phone. She stated she took his phone and tried to call hers to locate it, and then he reportedly grabbed at her and struck her in the face while trying to get his phone back.

Deputies observed marks on the left side of her face, on her forehead and her nose.
Deputies also went to their address to speak with Rose. He stated his girlfriend accused him of taking her phone and while she was searching the couch for her phone, she allegedly grabbed his arm and tried to strike him. Rose stated she then threw his phone and slapped him in the face.

Rose was placed under arrest and transported to the jail. At Rose’s request, deputies also filed a report for a review of charges against his girlfriend.

• Kaylan L. Arnette, 19, of 9012 College St., Lakeview, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident that occurred Thursday, Oct. 26.
Saturday, Oct. 28, deputies received a report from Arnette’s mother. She said on

Thursday, Arnette reportedly grabbed her while she was arguing with her grandmother. She said Arnette grabbed her arms and slammed her against the wall and window of her bedroom.

Oct. 28, Arnette’s mother sought medical treatment related to the injuries sustained in the incident.

Arnette told deputies that he grabbed his mother during the altercation because she was being disrespectful to his great-grandmother. He was placed under arrest and transported to the jail.
