Doug Moist, 38, of Bellefontaine, was charged with domestic violence following a violent outburst reported around 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Rush Avenue following a report the suspect had been drinking and was being physically violent. The victim told police he was enraged over money and grabbed her by the chest and by the arm and called her derogatory names. The suspect also reportedly hit the victim’s dog.
Red marks were observed on the victim’s arm and her chest. The suspect also reportedly destroyed a bedroom door and pulled out dresser drawers and tossed out all her belongings.
The suspect was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
