Doctor Wendy Lynn Rodenberger, 51, of Kenton, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. 

She was born on June 24, 1972 in Findlay to Sandra (Lambert) Farabee and the late Worthy Hassan. She married David Rodenberger on August 24, 1991 and he survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are her daughters, Jenna Rodenberger of Kenton,  Alainy Krueger of Kenton, sister, Stacy (Scott) Egbert of Mt. Blanchard, brother-in-laws, Jerry (Beth) Rodenberger of Williamstown, Jason (Bobbie Emmons) Rodenberger of Kenton, grandson, Broxton Rodenberger of Kenton, stepdad, William Farabee of Mechanicsburg, father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Sally Rodenberger of Kenton, stepbrother, Joe Stone of Forest, stepsister, Jill Stone of Forest and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Joshua Rondenberger and father, Worthy Hassan.

Wendy graduated from Riverdale High School in 1990. She later went on to get her Associates Degree from Lima Technical College in Nursing and proceeded to obtain her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate from Mount Carmel College. She currently held the position of the Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Services at Mary Rutan Hospital. Nursing was truly her life.

Wendy loved to travel with her husband, especially their trips to Mexico. She was a wonderful mother who would always be on the sidelines at her children’s games. Wendy would watch any professional or college football that would come on TV.  She also loved her fur babies, Nessa, Bodie, and Bristol.  Wendy was a bright light in a dark world.

Funeral services for Doctor Wendy Lynn Rodenberger will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 15, at the St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton with Rev. David Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. 

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, December 14, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice.
