Dinah L. Dague, 74, of Piqua, OH formerly of Lakeview, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday morning, June 1, 2024, at Ohio Hospice of Miami County, Troy, OH.
Dinah was born on January 7, 1950, in Oka, W.Va., a daughter of the late John Thomas and Geraldine W. Lloyd Woodrum. She is preceded in death by two brothers, and three sisters.
Dinah married David Dague on January 15, 1971, at Grace Lutheran Church in Jackson Center, OH and he survives along with their daughter, Krista (Jeremy) Horsley of Vandalia, OH, son, Travis (Julie) Dague of Lewistown, OH, and two grandchildren, Aaron Brown, and Morgan Dague.
Dinah was a 1968 graduate of Logan Hills High School in Zanesfield. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Indian Lake Schools for 10 years and cared for many children throughout her life. Dinah enjoyed flower gardening, farming on her father-in-law’s farm, crocheting and reading. She was a skilled seamstress and created clothing for people and dolls. Dinah’s greatest love was for her family and her dogs. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, June 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview.
