Dick “D.R.” Richards, 80, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 4:52 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at his home. He was born in Bellefontaine on February 9, 1943, to the late Kenneth and Florine (Kemp) Richards.
He is survived by two children: Allison (Scott) Prinkey of Huntsville and Darrin (Michelle) Richards of Bellefontaine; three grandchildren: Brooke (Austen) Pulfer of Bellefontaine, Jordan Richards of Bellefontaine, and Alex (Janey) Richards of Marysville; a great grandchild, Bexlee Pulfer and sister, Janice (Don) Foote of Euclid.
D.R. worked for LeROI Compressors for 43 years. He was an avid Indy and Nascar fan. He liked to go bowling and was a member of the Liberty Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf. He was also a member of the Elks and Moose Lodges. Lastly, he enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Sweet Aromas.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
