It is that time of year again and we are working on our annual DESIGN-AN-AD project in observance of Newspapers in Education, which is celebrated every March, and focuses on the educational aspects of newspapers.
Bellefontaine Examiner representatives spend the month of March visiting local 5th-grade classes (Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Calvary Christian, Indian Lake, Riverside and West Liberty) to discuss how newspapers work and how they can be utilized to enhance the students’ learning. The goal is to help the students achieve more accomplished lives by reading their local newspaper. The students are then given an opportunity to Design-An-Ad for our participating sponsors. Multiple students will be designing the ads for each of our sponsors after which a panel of judges will choose the winning ads to be published in the Newspaper in May.
