A defendant charged with unlawful sexual contact with a teenage girl must undergo sex offender programming at a Cincinnati-based community correctional facility in addition to community control sanctions imposed by the Logan County Common Pleas Court.

Davi Stoltzfus, 31, of Bellefontaine, has been sentenced to a stint at the River City Correctional Center in Hamilton County, three years’ community control and labeled a Tier II sexual offender for two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, third-degree felonies.

His January indictment originally included a charge of rape following an investigation originally initiated by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department.

The crimes stem from a sexual assault in May 2021 involving a 15-year-old girl. She reported the crime to police detectives in 2022, who later turned their findings over to Logan County prosecutors.
