Darleen Eldred Morley, daughter of Ray and Lola Fry (both deceased) of Belleville, Kansas, was born October 27, 1926, and died on March 15, 2023, at Bluebird Assisted Living Facility in Marysville, Ohio. Prior, she resided on the Keys Homestead just outside of Belle Center, Ohio.

She accepted Christ as her Savior at age 12 and it was her passion in life to be a faithful witness to His good news of salvation for all who will believe in Him. She was a member of Belle Center United Methodist Church.

Darleen graduated from Chester Nebraska High School in Chester, Nebraska in 1944, and from the National Business Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1945.

She married Melvin W. Morley of Belleville, Kansas on September 1, 1946. He passed on June 2, 1980.

Darleen was owner and manager of the Branch Christian Bookstore in Huber Heights, Ohio for several years.

During her latter years, Darleen enjoyed coloring pictures for shut-ins at nursing homes. She also loved music and poetry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Donald E. Fry, her husband, and an infant daughter, Carolyn Rae Morley. 

Surviving her are three children, Carla (Jim) Keys of Belle Center, Ohio; Terri (Jeff) Markland of Broomfield, Colorado; and Mark (Pam) Morley of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, March 20, at Redemption Bible Church, 169 County Road 32 N. in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Dana Kidder will officiate a funeral service at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be sent to Calvary Christian Schools, 1140 Rush Avenue, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
