Bellefontaine High School students and staff recently rolled up their sleeves and donated blood Monday, March 17, when the BHS DARE Club coordinated a blood drive with Versiti (formerly Solvita and the Community Blood Center). A total of 40 units of blood were collected, which will save 120 lives. Fifteen first-time donors participated in the blood drive. BHS DARE Club Adviser Matt Gallaway was impressed with the giving spirit. “A huge thank you to our school staff — teachers, custodial team, administration, nurse, and office managers — for your patience and support as we navigated the disruptions to the day. Your understanding and flexibility made this possible,” Gallaway said. “Most importantly, thank you to all our donors for your generosity. Your contributions will make a real difference in saving lives.” (BCS PHOTO)
