Daniel Keith Dye I of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2023.
He was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 16, 1958 to the late Herbert Nelson Dye SR and Anna Lou Haines, He is also proceeded in death by his daughter Dustie Lynn Stewart, daughter-in-law Shelly Marie Payne, sister Linda Crew, brother Herbert Nelson Dye Jr.
He is survived by daughter Julie (Jordan Conley) Dye, son Daniel Keith Dye II, granddaughters Tilly Kate Stewart and Josie Marie Dye, grandson Grayson Christopher Dye. Brother Jerry (Brenda) Dye; sisters LeAnn Chupp, Aunt Joanie (Charlie) Halterman, a host of relatives and friends, and his loyal companion Jasmine.
Daniel attended school at Groveport Madison High School. He worked at Ohio Wire Harness Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was a skilled carpenter. avid craftsman and amateur mechanic. Daniel worked as a carpenter for 20 plus years. He loved to watch Ohio State football games, build and refurbish wooden furniture and tinker with automobiles.
As a young man, he owned and rebuilt several vehicles but no car ever compared to his favorite the Chevy Nova. Daniel recently became the proud owner of a Harley Davidson 90th Anniversary Edition. Daniel enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his dog for car rides and spending the day at the Lake. Daniel was a wonderful and very proud father, grandfather, son, and brother. He never met a stranger, and had a compassion for helping others.
A memorial celebration of life service will be 6 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 US Highway 68 S., West Liberty 43357. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service.
