Dana Edward Rumer, 64, of Bellefontaine, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence. 

He was born in Kenton, Ohio on February 2, 1960, to the late Lloyd Allen Rumer and Joyce F. (Jones) Rumer, who survives in Belle Center

Dana is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Diana and John Linson of Belle Center; nephew, Deric Linson of DeGraff; niece, Hilary (Jason) Deal of Zanesfield; and numerous cousins and friends who meant the world to him. He also had a special buddy in Max, his 5-month-old German Shepherd.

 Dana was part of the Ben Logan Class of 1979 and had been employed at Thermoid in Bellefontaine for over 40 years. Once people met Dana, he left a special place in their hearts. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pastor Kris Langstaff will officiate a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, 206 South West Street, Mount Victory.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5455 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
