Cynthia L. Bodenmiller, 66, of Lima, OH formerly of Lakeview, OH, passed away, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Cynthia was born in Sidney, OH, on October 8, 1956, a daughter of the late Thomas and Marcella Pittman Bodenmiller. She is preceded in death by a great grandson, Tenson, a sister, Penny Bodenmiller, and a brother, Tony Bodenmiller.
Cynthia is survived by three children, Angela (Randy) Hersh of Lakeview, Daniel (Rachel) Schmiesing of Knoxville, TN, and Andrew (Stacy) Schmiesing of St. Marys, OH, 10 grandchildren, Erika, Alaura, Ollie, Paisley, Ethan, Elijah, Easton, Destiny, Kaleb, and Kylie, three great grandchildren, Kendrick, Ruby, and Finnley, three siblings, Tom Bodenmiller, Lori Burch, and Lisa Bodenmiller, all of Jackson Center, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Cynthia retired from Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy, OH. She earned her nursing degree from Rhodes State University and a master’s degree from Phoenix University. She was a former nursing instructor at Fortis College in Centerville, OH. Cynthia was very civic minded and enjoyed volunteering at St. Rita’s Medical Center, and with Friends Serving Friends of Indian Lake. She enjoyed camping, playing bingo, cooking, going to the YMCA, and passing out candy at Halloween. Cynthia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will begin at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St. Lakeview, with visitation from 1-3 pm. Inurnment will be at a later date in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, OH.
Memorial contributions may be given in Cynthia’s memory to Friends Servicing Friends of Indian Lake.
