Couple’s comedy, free film, Moana musical: Love It Live at the Holland this month

February at the Holland Theatre will be filled with laughter, romance and celebration as three heart-felt shows take the stage and the venue marks its 93rd birthday.

First up is Couples Therapy – The Theatrical Show, set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. Witness the hilarity and chaos that ensue when couples dive into therapy at this one-of-a-kind blend of standup comedy and interactive theater.

Audiences go on a hilarious and interactive ride as a pair of married relationship experts equally explore and appreciate the differences between men and women.

Adding to the fun that evening will be a celebration of the theater’s 93rd birthday, with cake at intermission. The Holland first opened its doors to the public on Feb. 12, 1931.

Next up is a free showing of the classic tearjerker Titanic for Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, Feb. 14, beginning at 7 p.m.

Laugh and cry with Jack and Rose as they find love amid the doomed splendor of a ship deemed “unsinkable.”

Finally, local middle schoolers present “Moana JR.,” a joyous adaptation of Disney’s beloved hit, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, and at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17.

This 70-minute show from Windmill Productions is perfect for the whole family.
This heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within.
