Triad’s girls basketball team saw host Elgin rally in the fourth quarter for a 63-60 win Monday during non-league play.
The loss drops the Cardinals to 0-2.
Triad came out strong in the first quarter to take a 14-8 lead. Triad stayed in front by six (32-26) at halftime.
The Cardinals pushed their lead to nine points (48-39) after three periods.
The Comets found a spark in the fourth quarter, though, and went on a 24-12 run to grab the win.
Cati LeVan powered the Cardinals with 23 points and Frani LeVan tallied 17 points with five steals, while Abby Walls added 12 rebounds.
Bekah Muselin powered Elgin with a game-high 35 points.
Triad travels to Northeastern on Thursday for an Ohio Heritage Conference contest.
