City restaurant landmark razed

The building that for many years housed Dog-N-Suds restaurant and Vicario’s Pizza at 825 N. Main St. has been razed. After being occupied by Dog-N-Suds drive thur for several years, the late Richard Vicario and his wife, Jean, moved their pizza shop into the space from south Detroit Street in the early 1980s. In 1991, Chuck and Ann Rogers bought the business from the Vicarios. Rob Richard purchased the property and business in June 1997. Mr. Richard moved Vicario’s to its current larger space with expanded dining facilities at 1141 S. Main St. — formerly occupied by 68 Grill restaurant — in November 2021. The 825 N. Main property was purchased by 825 JSG, LLC in January of this year. Vaibhavkumer Patel is listed as the LLC’s statutory agent, according the Ohio Secretary of State’s website. (CHARLES THOMAS PHOTO)
