Bellefontaine police responded to the Bellefontaine Municipal Court building about 11:48 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, on a report of a domestic dispute.
Tevin Clowers, 30, of Bellefontaine, was arrested for domestic violence following an incident involving he and a victim in a vehicle after the two left the court building and later returned.
The victim, who was reportedly visibly upset and had two large, fresh scratches on the face, told police they had an appointment with their probation officer at the court building, and information they shared with Clowers after the meeting upset him. Clowers pushed the victim’s head with an open hand, and threw keys from the vehicle’s center console striking them in the neck, according to the police report.
The victim, who was driving, then turned they vehicle around and returned to the court building to get help. A young child passenger was in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
Clowers denied touching the victim, but reportedly admitted to officers he threw keys which, he said, struck the steering wheel, not the victim. He told officers he had a headache and the argument started over the vehicle’s radio volume.
The suspect was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
