Bellefontaine’s boys tennis team improved its record to 3-0 with a 3-2 win over visiting Jonathan Alder on Thursday in a Central Buckeye Conference match.
Truman Howell and Xavier Sims picked up singles wins for the Chiefs.
Howell beat Isaac Banks 6-3, 6-4 at first singles, while Sims defeated Gideon Sullivan 6-3, 6-3 at second singles.
In the third singles match, Alder’s Owen Hecht won over Garrett Brede 6-0, 6-1.
Bellefontaine’s other win came at first doubles, where Drew Phillips and Trey Taylor beat Cade Baker and Josh Weakley 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
The Chiefs’ second doubles team of Elias Abrego and Bryce Harris was defeated by Drew Corbitt and Parker Taylor 2-6, 6-4, 10-6.
Bellefontaine is back in action Wednesday at Springfield.
