SPRINGFIELD — The Bellefontaine girls tennis team lost 4-1 to host Kenton Ridge in Central Buckeye Conference play on Tuesday.
At first singles, Kenzie Stacy defeated Ava Dolan of Bellefontaine, 6-0, 6-1.
At second singles, Kayla Tosi defeated Olivia Wayre of the Chiefs, 6-0, 6-1
At third singles, Ximena Juarez won over Harley Neer of BHS, 6-0, 6-0
The Chiefs’ first doubles team of Mia Brown and Rylee Crabtree won over Kenton Ridge’s Allison Eubanks and Peyton Herzog, 6-2, 6-2.
At second doubles, Bella Whisler and Jade Jenkins defeated the Chiefs’ Adison Postle and Maria Casanas, 6-0, 6-0.
In the junior varsity matches, Charlie Hughes and Vanshika Shah lost in doubles, while Layla Hoyt and Oriana Vasquez lost singles matches.
Bellefontaine won two exhibition matches.
The Lady Chiefs are 2-3 overall and 0-3 in the CBC. They will host Piqua today at 4:30 p.m.
