Chiefs can’t get on track vs. Red Raiders

Coming off a loss to Urbana which included a rough second half, Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team could not bounce back Friday night at London.

Bellefontaine saw a halftime lead slip away in a 56-45 loss to the Red Raiders in a Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division game.

The Chiefs are now 6-7 overall and 2-3 in the CBC. London improves to 5-8, 2-3.

Bellefontaine trailed 13-9 after one quarter, but the Chiefs went ahead 24-20 at halftime.

London captured the momentum in the second half. The hosts used a 21-11 run in the third quarter to take a six-point cushion (41-35).

The Red Raiders outscored the Chiefs 15-10 in the final quarter to put the game away.
Carter Snapp led the Chiefs with 14 points. C.J. Wilson had 13 points and Riley Neer and Kaden Reames had five each.

In the junior varsity game, Bellefontaine won 63-50. Patrick Stolly led the Chiefs with 20 points and Kailyn Organ had 16 points.

Bellefontaine’s freshman team fell 42-30. Grayson Lotts led the Chiefs with 12 points.

The Chiefs return to action Tuesday at Graham.
