Logan County Children’s Services invites the public to join a Child Abuse Prevention Month ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, at the Logan County Courthouse to recognize the vital role the community plays in strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect.

The event takes place indoors in the criminal court room on the second floor.

During the ceremony, speakers include a former foster youth and a current kinship provider, whose personal experiences will help guide LCCS’ work moving forward.

Following a proclamation by the Logan County Commissioners, a brief pinwheel planting ceremony will honor the 487 children served by Logan County Children’s Services in 2024.

Participants are also encouraged to participate in “Wear Blue” Day on April 9 in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, and to share photos of themselves, friends and family on the “Ohio Wears Blue” Facebook page by using hashtags: #OhioWears and #EnsureTheyShine.
