The Ohio Counties 2023 Scholarship application is now open to Ohio high school seniors, with an application deadline of Friday, May 5.

The scholarship program is sponsored by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) Research and Educational Foundation.

Throughout the state, there will be one scholarship offered to students in each CCAO District (Central, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast).

The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the student when CCAO has received confirmation of the applicant’s attendance at a university, community college, training program or vocational school.

Applicants should plan on a career in public service in Ohio.

“This is a valuable opportunity for Ohio’s young people to leverage their interest in public service and county government,” said CCAO President and Henry County Commissioner Glenn Miller. “CCAO is excited to invest in the future leaders of Ohio.”

“I very much encourage graduating high school seniors who reside in our county to apply for the Ohio Counties 2023 Scholarship,” said Logan County Commissioner Joe Antram. “The scholarship is limited to those who will be pursuing a career in public service such as family welfare, government, political science and/or social services.”
