Central Ohio officials, representing the County Commissioners Association of Ohio and the County Engineers Association of Ohio toured Logan County this week for their CCAO/CEAO Central District meeting Wednesday, May 10.

The morning started with breakfast at Cranberry Resort, 9667 State Route 368, Huntsville, and members were welcomed by Logan County Commissioner Joe Antram, who serves as the Central District president.

Representatives from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Amber Fagan from the Indian Lake Chamber of Commerce shared about the challenges and the progress with the weed eradication at Indian Lake.

With the summer season quickly approaching, members were asked to encourage their Central Ohio constituents to visit Indian Lake to enjoy the renewed conditions.

Then the contingent traveled to Six Hundred Downtown at 108 S. Main St., Bellefontaine, for a lunch program.

Nick Davis from Small Nation and Six Hundred Downtown owner Brittany Saxton detailed the entrepreneurial success that can be achieved in a small town and the recent developments in the downtown area.

Members then took a tour of downtown Bellefontaine and the historic Opera Block.
ā€œCCAO members left Logan County with a new or renewed understanding about our community, our accomplishments and our dreams for the future,ā€ Antram said.
