Carmen E. Houser, 81, of Lewistown, OH passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Carmen was born on October 22, 1942, in Van Wert, OH, a daughter to the late Eldon and Elizabeth Wermer Snyder. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Snyder and a stepdaughter, Pam McNeal.

Carmen married James Houser on March 19, 1999, in St. Louis, MO and he survives. She is also survived by nine children, Scott (Tracy) Keith of Indiana, Craig Keith of Lakeview, OH, Doug (Mona) Keith of Tennessee, Mitch (Jody) Keith of Jackson Center, OH, Kendra Keith of Fairborn, OH, Mika (Curtis) Hites of Huntsville, OH, Todd (Sally) Houser of Alger, OH, Darcie Houser and Charles Houser, both of Lima, OH, nine grandchildren, Kilea, Kirsten, Mikayla, Harley, Carlie Jo, Evan, Wendy, Cody, and Beta, five great grandchildren, a son-in-law, Bill McNeal and dear friend of sixty years, Tracie Stemen.

Carmen worked in nursing for over 40 years and enjoyed spending winter in Florida with Jim. Carmen was a selfless, and giving person, who will missed by all who knew her.

Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
