Bunny breakfast bites

Dozens of children, their parents and other community members hippity-hopped over to the West Liberty fire station Saturday morning, April 1, to pose for photos with the Easter bunny and enjoy pancakes, eggs and sausage. The annual event, sponsored by the West Liberty Business Association (WLBA), brought in people from all over the area, despite the questionable weather. Though the wind was enough to bring the rabbit inside. Nicole, left, Layla and Brad Kennedy savor the breakfast, which was provided by the Lions Club. Money raised will go toward Lions Park in West Liberty. The WLBA’s next event will be the street market, car show and fireworks on Saturday, June 24. Well over 100 people showed up for the Lions Club’s annual breakfast on Saturday. Seated at the table, from left, are Tiffany Couts, Malia Huntsman, Liz Carter, Georgia Huntsman and Giana Huntsman. Carter described the breakfast as “a great way to support an organization that does so much for the community. The food is always delicious and the Easter bunny was a special treat for the kids.” (EXAMINER PHOTO | SHARYN KOPF)
