Brittnie Renee’ Whetsel, 32, of Bellefontaine, went to be with her Lord at 2:57 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Premier Health Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on December 27, 1991, a daughter of Daniel Russell Whetsel Jr. and Sheila Renee’ (Kenner) Whetsel.
Brittnie is survived by her two children, whom she adored, Harmoni Z. Johnson, and Houston Z. Johnson; her children’s father, Skyler Johnson; Pops Jeffery Hayden, stepmother, Laura Douglas; four siblings, Latoya Whetsel, Tierra Tucker, Daniel (Ciara) Whetsel III, and Peyton Harris; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Brandon Story, grandparents Connie & Daniel Whetsel Sr, and Janice & Abraham Kenner Sr.
A member of Christ Our King Church in Bellefontaine, Brittnie adored her children and was diligent in loving and supporting them in everything they aspired to do and be in life. Brittnie supported her children’s sports, including basketball, softball, and volleyball.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Christ Our King Church, 1325 County Road 9 in Bellefontaine, where Pastor Robin Ricks will officiate a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Bellefontaine, Ohio at the convenience of the family.
