A local craft beer bar will be managing the beer garden this year at the Logan County Fair.
Logan County Commissioners during a recent meeting approved a partnership between the fair board and Brewfontaine to staff and operate the beer garden for the 2023 fair, which is set to run July 9-15.
Previously, fair board members during a regular meeting announced that a “local business” would be overseeing the beer garden, but declined to name the establishment pending final approval from the county commission.
The fair board will secure all necessary permits to serve alcohol during the fair, and will also collaborate with the deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office to, “ensure everything runs smoothly,” Fair Board President Rick Thomas told the commissioners.
Brewfontaine will maintain the beer garden from inside the track, providing alcohol to the grandstands during entertainment on Friday and Saturday, and will set up across from the secretary’s office during the other days of the fair.
With the community support that Brewfontaine already enjoys, combined with their ability to market, “it will be a win for everyone,” the fair board president told the commissioners.
