BLHS students selected as Buckeye Boys State delegates

The Belle Center American Legion Post 266 and the East Liberty American Legion Post 745 have announced their delegates for the 2023 Buckeye Boys State Conference this summer.

The five delegates are current juniors at Benjamin Logan High School.

The Belle Center American Legion’s delegates include: Ryder Pennington, a son of Steve and Abby Pennington; Seth Jones, a son of Jesse and Jennifer Jones; and Ben Chamberlain, a son of Matt and Kiki Chamberlain.

MITCHELL
ALEXANDER

The East Liberty American Legion’s delegates are: Joel Mitchell, a son of Doug and Jennifer Mitchell; and Hayden Alexander, a son of Gary and Laura Alexander.

The Ohio American Legion presents the program at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, from June 11 to 18.

At Boys State, young men learn about city, county, and state government through a non-partisan objective education approach, and form friendships with students around the state.

Founded in 1936, Buckeye Boys State is the largest Boys State program in the nation with an attendance of over 1,200 young men annually, representing nearly 600 Ohio high schools, several online high schools, and the home schooled community.
