Bellefontaine Intermediate School fourth-graders recently performed their music program titled “Summer Camp,” in the Bellefontaine High School Auditorium.
“Summer Camp” is centered around Bonnie (played by Dori Jervis), a girl who is being sent to summer camp by her parents.
Bonnie considers the camp a punishment and is not excited about attending, so she begins writing blogs about it. Her blogs reflect all her worries before the camp, during the camp, and then her joy at the end of camp, as it turned out to be the best camp ever.
Bonnie Blogger and all the other fourth-grade campers go through a day of camp, including the morning routine (led by the camp director, Ellie Preston), choosing different camp activities, a bug parade, singing and telling stories around the campfire, meeting a comical bear from the woods (played by Brennan Evans), a talent show, and finding a place to belong by the end of the summer camp.
There were many special parts for the students, including lead singers, soloists, actors, actresses, bugs, camp counselors, and the exercise team.
The fourth-graders had a great time performing their show at BHS.
The show was directed by BIS music teacher Darcy Neeld.
The sound system and lights were handled by Jere Daniels.
