BHS robotics team advances to state

The B-Town Bots High School Robotics Teams 9185A & 9185B shined over the weekend in a competition at Buckeye Central High School.

Team 9185A FOAM advanced to the finals and finished runner-up.

The team received the coveted Excellence Award and qualified for the Vex State Robotics Competition in March.

The team members are Mason Swisher, Alex Cavanaugh, Lorenz Henry, Ryann Gatchel and Hayden Maus.

Team 9185B – Biohazard won all their matches in the qualifying rounds and advanced to the afternoon playoffs. The team lost in the semifinals.

The B-Town Bots are coached by Dustin Van Buskirk and Micah Woolf.

The B-Town Bots will be hosting a competition at Bellefontaine Middle School Jan. 12-13. Several high school and middle school teams will be featured. Admission is free.
