Betty Mae (Gill) Ansley, 98, of Ridgeway, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home in rural Ridgeway.

She was born on July 9, 1925, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Viola (Qvick) Gill. On January 7, 1945, she married Robert L. Ansley and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1999.

Surviving is a daughter; Nancy Bigelow of Houston, TX, 3 sons; Robert (Janice) Ansley of Bellefontaine, David Ansley of Ridgeway, Duane (Michelle) Ansley of Greendale, IN, 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 3 siblings; Ralph Gill, John Gill and Doris Van Dalen.

Betty and her husband were the owners of B&B Dairy Bar in West Mansfield for a few years. Betty also worked for Ridgemont School for several years.

She was attending the Wake Up The World Ministries Church in Bellefontaine and used to sing in the choirs for First Baptist Church of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and the Ridgeway Methodist Church. She was also a member of a women’s group called the Circle Club.

Betty and her husband Robert loved to travel. They have traveled all over the United States and spent their winters in Florida since 1980.

A graveside service for Betty Mae (Gill) Ansley will be at 1:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4, at Wolfcreek Cemetery in Kenton with Pastor Terry Robinson officiating. Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory.
