Date:

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jo Yost, at the age of 80.

She was born November 15, 1943, in Lima, Ohio, to Carroll and Marguerite Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her sister Sharon (Mike) Yoder and Edward (Cathy) Wallace. She married, lived and raised her children in Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Betty Jo worked 30 years for the Bellefontaine City Schools. After retirement, she spent many, many hours volunteering at Benjamin Logan Elementary School.

Betty Jo lived a fulfilling life and was a light in everyone’s day. She provided many laughs with her family and friends. Betty Jo Yost was a kind and generous soul, always putting others’ needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all those who knew her, and she will be remembered for her smile and warm personality.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Dee) Yost of Texas and Kelly (Troy) Birt, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, who will miss her dearly. The love of her life was being a grandmother to her only grandchild, Max Birt.

A celebration of life will be at a later date this summer.

You will forever be in our hearts, stories and memories.

Arrangements are in the care of Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home and Crematory.
