Bellefontaine Elementary School recently hosted its final Chieftain Leader ceremony of the school year. Students in grades K-2 were recognized for following the B-Block pledge every day — to be safe, be respectful and be a learner. Bellefontaine Police Department Officers Morgan Brewer, pictured standing at the far right, and Savarrah Crabtree, at the far left, presented each recipient with their award. Recipients include: kindergartners Braxton Petro, Aryanet Esquilin Serrano, Zakyius Beair, Aliyah Kindle, Adelyn Lewis, Natalie Garrison, Nellie Newman, Meilah Burnside; first-graders Rozalyn Jenkins, Savanna Holt, Makenna Wilson, Calvin Castallantee, Makenna Trevino, Bryson DeLeon, Aleeyah Gibson, Dillon Darst and Mason Hawley; and second-graders Marcos Estrada, Paisley Turner, Amarrah Smith, Delilah McIntire, Anthony “A.J.” Clark, Brooklin Peloquin and Harper Hunger. Each student rang a bell after receiving their award and also received a T-shirt. It’s the fifth year for the program at BES. (BCS PHOTO)
