The Benjamin Logan Raiders Robotics teams competed this past weekend at the Miami University FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier.

Due to the growth of the club in recent years, the Raiders fielded two teams this year.

The Gold team, which features Haley Bradley, Matthew Cox, Lilly Hyder, Kameron Lockwood, Addison Murphy, Claire Rhodes and Cody Smith, received second place for the Design Award, and ended the contest ranked 19th out of 27 teams.

The Black team, which includes Elliot Carpenter, Utah Coleman, Gabe Elsasser, Colton Klopfenstein, Wyatt LeVan, Lily Rudolph and Kade Smith, received second place for the Think Award, and finished the qualifying matches ranked 11th.

This tournament marks the end of the FIRST Tech Challenge season for the Raiders.

The robotics club will now shift focus to the National Robotics Challenge, which occurs in April.

The club is led by advisers Jodie Kavanagh and Jason Smith.
